What if PRP for hair loss does not relieve hair loss?

Hair loss has several possible patterns, including gradual thinning, sudden shedding, patchy loss and loss associated with scalp inflammation. PRP is intended to support selected hair-growth situations, but it does not address every cause. Ongoing loss can mean the underlying diagnosis needs revisiting, the hair cycle is still changing, or a separate scalp or health issue is contributing.

Take dated photographs in similar lighting and note when shedding began, which areas are changing, recent illness, major stress, diet changes, new medicines and family hair patterns. Tell the clinician about scalp pain, scale, itching or redness. Do not start several hair products at once, because this can make changes difficult to interpret. Examination and, when needed, targeted tests can help identify a more suitable plan.

Arrange prompt assessment for rapidly expanding patches, scalp scarring, pus, marked pain, severe inflammation, or hair loss with other new symptoms. Earlier examination can help protect follicles when inflammation or infection is suspected. Book routine follow-up if shedding continues, the hairline changes, or the result remains unclear after treatment.
