What if the combined pill does not relieve painful periods?

Seek urgent medical help for sudden severe pelvic pain, fainting, heavy bleeding with weakness, fever, repeated vomiting, or a positive pregnancy test with pain or bleeding. Contact a clinician promptly if pain is worsening, begins between periods, follows sex, or repeatedly prevents normal activities. These features need assessment even when you are taking the pill.
