What does toe pain feel like with hammer toe?

Toe Pain is a common presentation of Hammer Toe. The toe may stay curled at its middle joint, so the top can rub against the shoe and the tip can press into the ground. This may feel like a sore spot, burning friction, a corn, or a pulling ache. Tight footwear and longer periods of standing can make symptoms more noticeable.
