What are the treatment options for uterine prolapse?

Short answer
Treatment options for uterine prolapse include pelvic support with a vaginal pessary, reconstructive surgery such as sacrocolpopexy, or hysterectomy in selected cases.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Understanding prolapse
Uterine prolapse happens when the tissues supporting the uterus weaken, allowing it to move down into the vagina. You may notice heaviness, a bulge, difficulty emptying the bladder or bowel, or discomfort with sex. The degree of prolapse and the symptoms you actually have guide treatment.
Some people need observation and pelvic-floor support only. Treatment is not determined by the appearance of the prolapse alone; comfort, bladder and bowel function, activity, and personal goals matter.
Nonsurgical and surgical care
A vaginal pessary is a removable device fitted inside the vagina to support the pelvic organs. It can be useful when you want to avoid or delay surgery, but it needs follow-up so fit, discharge, and vaginal tissue health can be checked.
Sacrocolpopexy uses surgical support to lift and hold the vaginal apex or uterus in a better position. Hysterectomy removes the uterus and may be combined with repair of other weakened pelvic supports. Ask how each operation affects pregnancy, recovery, and the possibility of further prolapse.
Pelvic-floor exercises may help support symptoms and function, especially when taught by a trained physiotherapist. Avoid straining and seek advice for constipation or a persistent cough.
When to seek care
Arrange a gynaecology assessment for a new vaginal bulge, pressure, urinary difficulty, or bowel-emptying problem. Seek urgent help if you cannot pass urine, have severe pain, heavy bleeding, fever, or a prolapsed tissue that becomes very swollen or changes colour.
Questions to discuss
Ask which pelvic organs are affected, whether a pessary is suitable, and what support exercises could help. If surgery is proposed, discuss the repair method, recovery limits, effects on sex and urination, and how pregnancy plans change the decision.

Questions people ask
Can a pessary treat uterine prolapse?
A correctly fitted vaginal pessary can support the uterus and ease symptoms for some people, with follow-up checks.
Is surgery always needed for prolapse?
No. Observation, pelvic-floor support, or a pessary may be appropriate when symptoms are manageable and examination findings allow.
