What Are the Symptoms of Pet Allergy?

Symptoms may begin during contact with a cat, dog, or another animal, or after touching bedding, furniture, or clothing carrying animal proteins. Some people develop an itchy rash after contact; others notice cough, chest tightness, or wheeze, especially if they also have asthma.
