What are the symptoms of cervical spondylosis?

Cervical spondylosis may cause neck pain, stiffness, headaches, and arm symptoms such as tingling, numbness, or weakness. Some people have few symptoms, while others notice discomfort during movement or after holding the neck in one position.

Neck stiffness may make turning or looking up uncomfortable, and pain can spread toward the shoulder blade. Headaches may begin near the back of the head. If the spinal cord is affected, hand clumsiness, balance changes, or difficulty walking may develop.
