What the change may mean
A urinary tract infection may irritate the bladder and cause burning when passing urine, a frequent or urgent need to go, lower abdominal discomfort, or urine that looks cloudy. Smell alone does not identify the cause. Dark, concentrated urine after drinking too little may suggest Dehydration, while fever, chills, pain in the side or back, nausea, or vomiting can signal that infection has moved towards the kidneys.
