What should you know about under eye fat transfer?

A surgeon removes a small amount of fat from a donor area, processes it and places it in selected hollows around the lower eyelid and cheek. The aim is to improve contour where a tear-trough hollow creates a shadow. It is different from an injectable gel treatment because it requires a donor site, surgical planning and a healing period.
