Intense pulsed light sends broad-spectrum flashes toward pigment in the hair shaft and follicle. Keep a record of settings and dates so irritation or delayed darkening can be recognised.

Stop using the device and seek advice for blistering, marked swelling, severe pain, burns, persistent redness or a new dark or pale patch. Seek prompt assessment for pus, spreading warmth or fever. If hair growth is sudden, coarse, widespread or accompanied by irregular periods or other hormonal changes, arrange medical evaluation rather than relying only on home removal.
