Types of chemical peels for hyperpigmentation

Dark patches can follow acne or injury, occur as melasma, or reflect sun-related pigment. A peel removes some surface cells and may help selected discoloration, but irritation can stimulate more pigment in susceptible skin. Superficial peels are generally easier to adjust than deeper treatments; the ingredient, strength, contact time, and spacing all matter. Seek assessment for a dark patch that is changing quickly, bleeding, crusting, itching persistently, or unlike your other marks.
