Ask how the team will confirm each baby’s position and how long you may stay in hospital after birth. If labour is induced, medicines and monitoring are explained as part of the plan; oxytocin may be used to start or strengthen contractions when clinically appropriate. Arrange practical help for feeding, rest, transport, and care of two newborns.

Contact your maternity unit for regular contractions, vaginal bleeding, leaking fluid, reduced movement of either baby, severe headache, vision changes, or sudden swelling. Seek emergency care for severe pain, heavy bleeding, fainting, or breathing difficulty. With twins, do not wait for a routine visit when movements change or labour signs begin; your team can tell you where to go and what to bring.
