What should you know about tubular breast fat transfer?

Tubular or constricted breasts can have a narrow base, a tight lower breast fold, or a prominent areola. Fat transfer involves taking fat from another body area, processing it, and placing small amounts into planned breast regions. Fat can improve fullness and contour, but it may not release tight tissue or reshape the areola by itself. The surgeon examines breast development, available donor fat, asymmetry, skin quality, and future plans such as pregnancy before recommending an approach.

Bring clear goals about size, projection, cleavage, and symmetry. Ask whether fat transfer alone is suitable or whether tissue release, a lift, or another operation would better address the shape. Review scars, changes in sensation, healing, possible need for staged treatment, and how weight changes may affect the transferred fat. Dermal Fillers and Lip Fillers are different treatments and are not interchangeable with breast surgery.

After surgery, contact the team for increasing one-sided swelling, worsening pain, redness, drainage, fever, wound separation, or a new firm area. Seek urgent help for chest pain, breathing difficulty, fainting, or sudden marked swelling. Any persistent lump should be examined rather than assumed to be a normal healing change.
