How the treatment works

The device and settings should be selected for your skin tone, hair colour, hair thickness, and treatment area. Only follicles in a suitable growth phase respond at each visit, so several appointments are commonly needed. Hair may become finer or return more slowly, but results vary and maintenance may be needed. Laser does not treat the underlying hormonal causes of excess hair.

Avoid plucking or waxing shortly before treatment because the follicle needs to be present; follow the clinic's shaving and sun-protection instructions. During treatment, warmth, snapping sensations, redness, and swelling around follicles can happen. Cool the area as advised and avoid heat, friction, and unapproved products while the skin settles.
