Tetanus and whooping cough vaccine during pregnancy

Tetanus is linked to bacteria entering a wound, whereas whooping cough spreads through respiratory droplets. Seek emergency help for trouble breathing, swelling of the face or throat after vaccination, fainting that does not quickly settle, blue lips, or reduced responsiveness. A wound during pregnancy, especially a deep or dirty wound, should be reviewed for tetanus protection even if you feel well.
