Tarmak Kinesiology Tape

Short answer
Tarmak kinesiology tape is an elastic adhesive support that may change skin sensation and movement awareness, but it cannot diagnose or heal an injury by itself.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

How it may help
Kinesiology tape stretches with movement and is placed over or around a painful area. Its main practical effect may be a change in touch sensation, which can make movement feel more controlled. It is different from a rigid brace because it does not strongly hold a joint still. Results vary, and comfort can depend on placement, skin sensitivity, activity, and the problem being treated.
Safer use
Use clean, dry skin and round the tape corners so they catch less easily. Apply it with the amount of stretch shown in the product guidance or by a trained practitioner; avoid covering broken, infected, or irritated skin. Rub the adhesive gently to activate it, then check the area regularly. Remove it if there is rash, blistering, tingling, numbness, or worsening pain. Kinesiology Taping works best as one part of a movement or rehabilitation plan.
When to seek care
Seek assessment when pain, swelling, weakness, or restricted movement is unexplained, persistent, or worsening. Do not use tape to mask symptoms after a major injury or when a limb is cold, pale, numb, or visibly deformed. A physiotherapist can identify whether taping is appropriate and show a placement that does not interfere with circulation or movement.
Questions for your doctor
What problem are we treating, and could tape hide a useful warning sign? Where should it be placed and for how long? What skin reaction should make me remove it? Which exercises or activity changes should accompany the tape?

Questions people ask
Can I apply it over a wound?
No. Avoid broken or infected skin and ask a clinician about nearby sensitive skin.
Can tape replace a brace?
Usually not. Tape provides different, lighter support and may not control movement when a brace is needed.
