Syringoma treatment options

Syringomas are benign sweat-duct growths that often appear as firm, small bumps around the eyes. Treatment is usually considered when their appearance is bothersome, they catch on products, or the diagnosis needs confirmation. Stable lesions that cause no concern can be observed.

The method depends on the number and depth of bumps, their position, skin tone, history of pigment changes or scarring, and the clinician's experience. No procedure removes every future bump: treated lesions may recur and new lesions may develop.

Start with a skin examination rather than buying a strong cream or attempting extraction. Gentle cleansing, moisturiser and sun protection support the skin but usually do not flatten established syringomas.
