Symptoms of impetigo on the face

Impetigo is a contagious bacterial infection affecting the surface of the skin. It may begin around the nose or mouth, but can occur on the cheeks, chin, or other facial areas. Some cases produce fragile blisters that leave a moist raw surface; others produce crusted patches without obvious blisters.
