Sudocrem for burn scars: what to know

A burn scar may be flat or raised, lighter or darker than nearby skin, firm, tight, itchy, or sensitive. A wound that is still open, blistered, wet, or increasingly red is not simply an established scar. Barrier creams may protect irritated surrounding skin, but applying a thick product over an unhealed burn can obscure changes and may not suit the wound.
