What does it mean when a stye comes to a head?

The bump may become more defined, tender, and red before the point appears. This can happen on the outer lash line or on the inner surface of the eyelid. The point does not confirm that the stye is ready to be opened at home. Watery eyes or a small amount of crusting can occur, while marked discharge or redness across the eye may suggest another problem.
