Stomach pain during ejaculation

Orgasm causes rhythmic contractions in pelvic muscles, so a brief cramp can occur, especially after prolonged tension. Repeated or intense pain may accompany prostatitis, a urinary infection, an infection passed through sexual contact or irritation of the pelvic floor. Burning urination, frequent urination, penile discharge, blood in semen or pain between the scrotum and anus are useful details. Bowel conditions such as Crohn's disease or diverticular disease can also create nearby lower-abdominal discomfort, while upper abdominal pain may have a separate digestive cause.

Pause ejaculation and sexual activity if it triggers significant pain. Drink water, avoid irritants that worsen urinary symptoms and record whether pain occurs with masturbation, partnered sex or only ejaculation. Arrange a GP or sexual-health appointment when symptoms recur, last beyond the episode or follow a new sexual contact. Use condoms until an infection has been assessed if there is discharge, sores or concern about exposure. Do not take leftover antibiotics.

Seek urgent help for sudden severe testicular or lower-abdominal pain, a swollen or painful scrotum, inability to urinate, fever with shaking chills, fainting, or blood in urine. Prompt assessment is also needed for persistent pelvic pain, repeated blood in semen, vomiting or rapidly worsening symptoms. Emergency symptoms can arise from urinary or reproductive problems that need timely treatment.
