Stomach cancer symptoms in women

Possible presentations include ongoing indigestion, upper-abdominal discomfort, feeling full quickly, nausea, vomiting, difficulty swallowing, tiredness or Loss of Appetite. Vomiting blood or passing black stools can signal bleeding. A stomach cancer presentation can occur in women, but each symptom also has non-cancer causes such as reflux, ulcers, infection or medicine effects.

Hormonal or reproductive symptoms do not reliably identify a stomach problem. Tell the clinician about menstrual changes, pregnancy possibility, medicines and any history of Helicobacter Pylori Infection so the assessment is complete and testing is chosen safely.

Book a clinical review when symptoms persist, recur or change your eating. Note timing, food triggers, vomiting, stool colour, appetite and unintended weight change. A clinician may recommend blood tests, an upper endoscopy with biopsy or imaging; no symptom checklist can confirm the diagnosis.
