Stage 4 cervical cancer spread to lymph nodes

Lymph nodes are small immune-system structures that drain nearby tissues. A scan may show enlarged or abnormal nodes, but imaging findings are interpreted with examination and, when needed, tissue testing. The exact node location matters because nodes in the pelvis or abdomen can have different implications from disease in a distant organ. Stage 4 is not defined by a single symptom, and bleeding between periods can have many causes.

Your team may review imaging, biopsy results, blood tests, and kidney or bladder function before recommending treatment. Options can include radiotherapy, brachytherapy, medicines, or a combination, depending on where the cancer is and your goals.
