Small Biting Insects: What to Know

Mosquitoes, fleas, bed bugs, mites, and other insects can trigger a local immune reaction. Bumps may be isolated, grouped, or arranged near clothing lines. Itch can continue after the insect has gone, and different people can show very different reactions to the same exposure.

Children, older adults, and people with weakened immunity may need earlier assessment for worsening skin changes.
