What should you know about skin whitening peel treatment?

A peel loosens connections between surface cells, leading to controlled shedding and smoother-feeling skin. It does not make every cause of uneven tone the same, and active inflammation, infection or a recent sunburn can change the risk. Peeling, tightness and temporary redness may follow treatment. If flaking is not related to a procedure, conditions such as psoriasis or athlete's foot can be relevant, depending on where it appears.

Tell the clinician about sensitive skin, previous dark marks after irritation, cold sores, pregnancy, medicines and recent waxing or laser treatment. Follow the exact preparation and aftercare plan. Use gentle cleansing, moisturiser and shade or sunscreen; do not pick flakes or add unsupervised acids and retinoids. Avoid scheduling a peel over sunburned, broken or actively inflamed skin.
