What should you know about silicone scar sheets effectiveness?

Silicone works as a protective, occlusive layer over a healed scar. It may help a raised scar feel softer, look flatter, and become less noticeable over time. Response is not identical for every scar: age, thickness, location, skin sensitivity, and whether the scar is still changing all matter. Silicone is not a way to erase a scar or correct an underlying wound problem.

Use the sheet only on intact skin and apply it to clean, dry skin according to the product directions. Keep it flat, clean it as directed, and examine the skin regularly.
