Seborrhoeic wart is a common informal name for seborrhoeic keratosis. These growths can be tan, brown, or darker, with a waxy, rough, or stuck-on surface. They are different from contagious viral warts. A clinician should confirm the diagnosis before treatment, particularly when the lesion is new, changing, inflamed, or unlike your other marks.

Removal may involve lifting or scraping the growth, freezing it, or using another minor procedure selected for its thickness, site, and appearance. The area may be numbed first.
