Sculptra for under-eyes: what to know

Under-eye darkness, hollowness, puffiness, fine lines, and shadows do not all have the same cause. A collagen biostimulator may be discussed for selected concerns, but it is not a universal answer and may not correct pigment or fluid-related puffiness. The skin is thin, and the lower eyelid lies close to the eye and important blood vessels. A clinician should assess the lower eyelid, cheek support, skin quality, and any history of swelling before recommending a product.

Use a clinician experienced with periocular anatomy and ask exactly where the material would be placed. Discuss whether observation, skin-focused care, a dermal filler, or another option better fits the concern. Calcium hydroxylapatite filler and poly-L-lactic acid filler have different properties, so a material named during consultation is not automatically suitable for the under-eye area. Mention allergies, medicines, previous injectables, recurrent eyelid swelling, and eye disease. Arrange a review and follow the clinic’s specific aftercare guidance.

Contact the clinic for increasing tenderness, redness, warmth, drainage, or a firm swelling that does not settle as expected. Get urgent medical attention for sudden blurred or reduced vision, severe eye pain, double vision, marked eyelid swelling, or unusual skin colour near the injection site.
