Reason of missed miscarriage

In a missed miscarriage, the pregnancy has stopped developing but the body has not yet passed the pregnancy tissue. Some people have few or no symptoms, and nausea or breast tenderness may continue for a while. Diagnosis is generally confirmed with an ultrasound, sometimes with repeat assessment when the timing is uncertain.

Chromosomal or developmental problems are a common underlying explanation, and they are not caused by ordinary activity, work, sex, or emotional upset. Contact your care team urgently for heavy bleeding, severe or worsening abdominal pain, fever, chills, dizziness, fainting, or discharge with a bad smell.
