What should you know about pseudo precocious puberty?

A child may develop breast growth, pubic or underarm hair, body odour, acne or vaginal bleeding earlier than expected. In pseudo precocious puberty, sex hormones come from outside the normal brain signal, such as an adrenal or ovarian source, an uncommon hormone-producing condition, or exposure to hormone-containing products. The pattern may be incomplete: one sign can appear without all puberty changes progressing together.

They may ask when each change began, examine growth and development, review medicines and household hormone products, and order targeted tests.
