What should you know about plump Botox?

Botulinum toxin type A temporarily reduces signals between selected nerves and muscles. Relaxing muscle movement can soften lines such as Crow's Feet and other Wrinkles, which may make the treated area look smoother. It does not replace lost tissue or directly fill a hollow area, so calling the result plumping can create unrealistic expectations.

The outcome depends on the muscles treated, dose, injection pattern, facial anatomy, and the expression you want to preserve. A qualified clinician should assess whether Botox, a filler, or another approach matches your concern.

Tell the injector about previous toxin or filler treatments, neuromuscular conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, medicines, allergies, and any infection near the planned injection sites. Ask which muscles will be treated and how the plan will avoid an overly heavy brow, uneven smile, or unwanted weakness. Follow the clinic’s aftercare instructions and keep the follow-up appointment if one is advised.
