Mesotherapy describes a delivery method: small amounts of a chosen preparation are placed at multiple points in the skin. When platelets are used, the clinician first collects and prepares the person’s blood before injecting the selected layer of skin. The exact contents, concentration, injection depth, and treatment area can vary.

It may be discussed for skin texture, dullness, or other cosmetic concerns, but the expected change should be defined clearly. Injection-based care can cause temporary swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, or pinpoint bleeding.

Tell the clinician about bleeding problems, medicines that affect clotting, allergies, active acne or infection, immune conditions, and a tendency to form thick scars. Ask how your blood will be handled, what is injected, and how the area will be cleaned. Eat and drink according to the clinic’s instructions and arrange practical care if the treated area is tender.

Afterward, keep the skin clean, avoid rubbing or picking, and delay strenuous activity, heat, or active skincare for the period advised. Use gentle sun protection while the skin settles.

Call the clinic if swelling or pain is increasing, redness is spreading, the area feels hot, or drainage develops. Get urgent care for trouble breathing, faintness, widespread hives, severe pain, or rapidly changing skin colour. Fever or persistent nodules need assessment rather than repeated self-treatment.

Ask what concern the injections target, how the preparation is made, how deep it will be placed, and what alternatives exist. Clarify expected downtime, medicines to avoid, infection-control steps, and who to contact after hours. Ask how a poor response or complication would be managed.
