What should you know about pet ringworm?

A lesion may begin as an itchy, scaly or red patch and enlarge with a more active edge, sometimes leaving clearer skin toward the centre. It can occur on the body, scalp, face or hands, and its appearance is not always a perfect ring. A person can have more than one patch, especially when exposure continues.
