What should you know about periorbital cellulitis both eyes?

The skin around one or both eyes may become red, warm, swollen and painful. Fever can occur. Infection may follow a nearby skin injury, sinus problem or another source; athletes' foot can provide a route for bacteria to enter broken skin elsewhere, but it does not explain every case. Periorbital cellulitis is different from deeper orbital infection, which can threaten vision and eye movement.
