What should you know about PCDC fat dissolving injections?

The injection is placed into a planned pocket of unwanted fat, commonly beneath the chin or in another area chosen during consultation. Deoxycholic acid is the active material used in many fat-dissolving injection treatments; it helps disrupt fat-cell membranes so the body can gradually clear the treated fat. The product, injection pattern, and suitability depend on the body area and your medical history.

This approach is designed for localised fullness rather than general weight management. Results develop gradually as inflammation settles and the body processes the treated tissue. Several visits may be discussed, but the number depends on the area, amount of fullness, and response.

Tell the clinician about allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, medicines that affect bleeding, swallowing difficulties, previous procedures in the area, and skin infection. Ask which product is being used and whether it is appropriate for the exact location.

After treatment, follow the clinic’s instructions about washing, exercise, rubbing the area, and pain relief. Temporary redness, firmness, bruising, numbness, tenderness, and swelling can occur. Do not add unapproved injections or massage while the area is healing; contact the treating clinic if expected symptoms are worsening rather than settling.

Seek prompt medical advice for trouble swallowing, breathing difficulty, rapidly increasing swelling, severe or spreading redness, pus, fever, marked skin colour change, or facial weakness. These symptoms need assessment rather than waiting for a routine review. If pain is severe, the skin becomes blistered or unusually pale, or swelling is affecting the mouth or neck, contact the clinic urgently or use local emergency services.
