What should you know about nummular atopic dermatitis?

Nummular means coin-shaped. Patches may be dry, scaly, cracked, weeping, or crusted, and they often itch intensely. Atopic dermatitis is a long-term tendency toward an overreactive skin barrier; a flare can follow dry air, irritating products, friction, or skin injury.
