What should you know about a non-shaven hair transplant?

A clinician assesses the pattern and cause of loss, the donor area, hair calibre, curl, and the density needed for a natural-looking result. Individual follicular units are collected from a donor region and placed into planned recipient sites. Because the hair is not fully shaved, access can be more limited and the procedure may require careful coordination of hair length and graft placement.

This approach does not stop the underlying condition from progressing. Male or female pattern hair loss and traction alopecia may need separate medical or behavioural management.

Ask for a diagnosis before choosing surgery and request a plan showing the donor area, hairline design, graft strategy, and expected stages of growth.
