What should you know about non allergic nasal congestion?

The lining inside the nose can swell and produce extra mucus when exposed to smoke, perfume, cleaning fumes, dry air, sudden temperature changes or spicy food. Hormonal changes and some medicines can also contribute. Unlike allergic rhinitis, this pattern does not require an immune response to pollen, dust or another allergen.
