What should you know about nokor needle subcision?

A nokor needle has a sharp edge designed to move under the skin and separate fibrous strands that pull a depressed scar downward. The clinician first assesses the scar pattern, skin type, active acne, and any history of raised scarring. Local anaesthetic is commonly used, then the needle is passed through a small entry point and moved beneath the selected scar.

Subcision is most suited to rolling or tethered depressions. It does not remove every scar type, and a deep boxcar or ice-pick scar may need a different or combined approach. The goal is improvement in contour, not a promise of a completely even surface.
