Nobivac is a rabies vaccine brand. The product name does not by itself tell you whether you need a dose, how many doses are needed, or whether another rabies medicine is also required. Rabies care depends on what happened, whether saliva or nervous tissue contacted broken skin or mucous membranes, and your previous vaccination record.

A vaccine trains the immune system to recognise rabies virus. It does not replace prompt wound cleaning after a possible exposure. A clinician may assess the animal, the contact, and local public-health advice before selecting a schedule.

Wash a bite, scratch, or contaminated wound promptly with soap and running water, then seek urgent medical assessment. Bring the vaccine name, any available batch or dose record, the time of exposure, and details about the animal. Do not delay care while waiting to see whether the animal becomes unwell.
