Nd:YAG is a laser platform that can deliver different pulse patterns and wavelengths. In a rejuvenation plan, the clinician may use heat to stimulate a healing response in the deeper skin or target visible blood vessels and unwanted hair, depending on the indication. The treatment is not one standard procedure: settings, passes and cooling depend on your skin tone, concern, location and medical history.

You may notice warmth, brief stinging and redness after treatment. Texture or tone changes develop gradually as the skin settles. Results are influenced by sun exposure, the concern being treated and whether another procedure is more suitable. Prompt advice is also appropriate for new persistent light or dark patches, a raised scar, eye pain or any visual change after treatment near the eyes. Emergency help is needed for breathing difficulty or facial swelling with hives.
