Natural Remedies for Dry Feet

Short answer
Regular moisturising, gentle removal of loose surface scale, and breathable footwear are safer natural measures for dry feet.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.
At a glance
- Moisturise
- Use a thick bland moisturiser on dry heel skin.
- Footwear
- Keep socks and shoes breathable and dry.
Dryness versus another foot problem
Dry feet may feel tight, rough, flaky, or itchy, with thicker skin around the heels. Deep fissures can develop when thick skin loses flexibility. Athlete's Foot may cause scaling, itching, or irritation between the toes, so not every dry or peeling foot responds to moisturiser alone.
A simple foot routine
Wash briefly with lukewarm water, dry carefully between the toes, and apply a thick fragrance-free moisturiser to dry areas soon afterward. A gentle foot file can reduce loose thickened skin; stop if it hurts or bleeds. Do not cut calluses with blades or use harsh acids without advice. Wear breathable shoes, change damp socks, and consider Emollient Therapy if ordinary moisturising is not enough. See Dry Skin and Cracked Skin for related guidance.
When to seek care
Arrange an assessment for persistent scaling between the toes, spreading itch, painful fissures, bleeding, swelling, discharge, or a rash that keeps returning. Seek prompt care for warmth, pus, rapidly spreading redness, fever, or severe pain. People with diabetes, reduced sensation, or poor circulation should seek advice before treating cracks themselves.
Questions for your doctor
Is this simple dryness, a fissure, or Athlete's Foot? Which moisturiser is suitable for the heel and which products should stay between the toes? How should I protect a crack while it heals?

Questions people ask
Can soaking feet cure dryness?
Long or hot soaks can remove protective oils and worsen dryness; brief lukewarm washing followed by moisturising is gentler.
Should moisturiser go between the toes?
Keep spaces between the toes dry unless a clinician advises otherwise, because trapped moisture can encourage fungal problems.
