Nail Polish for Brittle Nails

Brittle nails may split, peel, or break after repeated washing, chemicals, filing, picking, or enhancements. Remover and peeling polish can strip surface layers. New colour, thickness, or debris can also reflect Nail Fungus, although brittleness alone does not diagnose infection.

Use thin coats on clean, dry nails, file in one direction, and leave cuticles intact. Remove polish with minimal rubbing and never lift it by force. Take breaks from extensions, moisturise nails and surrounding skin, and wear gloves for prolonged wet work. Stop any product that burns or causes redness. Persistent splitting deserves an examination rather than more layers of polish.

Seek medical advice for persistent brittleness, several affected nails, pain, swelling, separation, pus, spreading redness, or a dark streak. A clinician can distinguish mechanical damage from infection or inflammation.
