Muscle pain during ovulation

Ovulation pain, also called mittelschmerz, can occur when an ovary releases an egg. It may feel like a one-sided ache, cramp or twinge in the lower abdomen and can last briefly or continue for a little while. The timing may shift between cycles, and some people notice light spotting or discomfort with movement.
