What should you know about MRI scanner for sale?

An MRI system is more than the tunnel-shaped scanner. It includes the magnet, patient table, radiofrequency coils, control console, image-processing software and systems that monitor the room and patient. The equipment must suit the body areas being examined and the workflow of the facility. A scanner used for oncology imaging may need compatible coils and software for detailed views, contrast-enhanced examinations or treatment planning.

A used or refurbished system may have a different service history, software version and support arrangement from a new system. The age of the magnet and availability of replacement parts can affect day-to-day operation. Purchase decisions belong with qualified medical-imaging, engineering and clinical teams rather than being based on the listing alone.

Ask for documented acceptance testing, maintenance records, the magnet type and strength, coil inventory, software capabilities, installation requirements and a clear plan for training and servicing. Confirm that the room can support the scanner's weight, cooling, electrical supply and controlled access. Check how emergency procedures work, including safe handling of oxygen equipment and implanted devices.
