Motus AX Alexandrite laser

An Alexandrite laser emits light that is absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft and follicle. The resulting heat can reduce the follicle’s ability to produce hair, while the surrounding skin is protected through cooling and careful energy selection. The response depends on hair colour, thickness, growth phase, skin tone, recent tanning, and the treatment area. It is not suitable for every combination of skin and hair characteristics, so a consultation and test spot may be useful.

Tell the provider about tanning, photosensitising medicines, active rashes, cold sores, and previous reactions to light-based treatment. Avoid plucking or waxing before a hair-removal session because the follicle needs to remain present; shaving may be advised. Arrive with clean skin and follow the clinic’s aftercare instructions.
