A handpiece places fine needles at selected depths, then releases radiofrequency energy into the treated area. The combination creates tiny controlled treatment points and warming below the surface. Your body repairs these areas by reorganising collagen, so visible change develops over time rather than at the appointment. It may be used on the face, jawline, neck or other suitable areas, depending on skin condition and the device settings.

Temporary redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, warmth or sensitivity can occur. Skin tone, needle depth, energy level and aftercare affect the appearance and recovery. Morpheus8 is not a substitute for treating loose skin caused by a medical problem, and it does not remove substantial excess tissue.

During consultation, disclose medicines, cold-sore history, tendency to form raised scars, recent tanning, active acne or infection, and any condition that affects healing. Follow the clinic’s instructions about topical products and sun exposure. After treatment, use only the recommended gentle cleanser, moisturiser and broad-spectrum sunscreen; avoid picking at crusts and pause irritating products until the skin has settled. Makeup, exercise, heat and swimming may need to wait for a period chosen for your treatment settings.

Results are assessed across follow-up visits. A clinician may recommend a course of sessions, with spacing based on healing and the area treated. Compare photographs taken in similar lighting rather than judging the result while swelling is present.

Contact the treating clinic promptly if pain or swelling is worsening, redness is spreading, the area becomes increasingly hot, drainage develops, or you develop fever. Seek urgent medical help for facial swelling with trouble breathing, faintness, widespread hives, or swelling of the lips or tongue. Blistering, marked colour change or persistent numbness also deserves prompt assessment.

Ask which area and depth will be treated, what improvement is realistic for your skin laxity, how many visits may be considered, and which side effects need a review. Confirm who will perform the procedure, how the device is cleaned, what pain control is offered, and which products or activities to avoid during recovery.
