Microneedling PRP Facial: What to Know

A small blood sample is processed to separate a platelet-containing layer. The clinician may apply it to the skin or use it as part of the treatment plan while a pen creates tiny channels. The aim is to support a healing response and improve the appearance of selected concerns, such as texture or some acne scars. It is not a way to diagnose or treat an unexplained rash, infection, or changing mole. Tell the clinician about anaemia, fainting with blood draws, medicines, bleeding problems, active acne, cold sores, eczema, melasma, and previous pigment or scar changes. Afterwards, use only the recommended gentle skincare, avoid picking, friction, intense heat, and direct sun, and wait before applying irritating active products. Mild redness, tightness, sensitivity, or small spots of bleeding can occur soon after needling. Contact the clinic if pain, warmth, swelling, redness, or discharge worsens instead of settling, or if you develop fever, blisters, or a strong pigment change. Seek urgent help for breathing difficulty or swelling of the face or eyes.
