These features can signal infection, inflammation, autoimmune loss, or scarring, where delaying diagnosis can matter. Contact the clinic if post-treatment pain, swelling, or discharge is worsening.

Ask what type of hair loss is present, what evidence supports microneedling for that diagnosis, and whether it is an add-on rather than the main treatment. Clarify infection prevention, needle depth, expected scalp reaction, session timing, and when progress will be reassessed. Ask what symptoms would make you stop treatment.
