What should you know about micro tens unit?

A TENS unit uses a battery-powered controller and adhesive pads placed on the skin near, or sometimes around, a painful area. The sensation may feel like tingling or tapping; it should not feel sharply painful. It can provide temporary relief for some people, but it does not repair a torn structure, remove infection, or replace assessment of a new symptom. Read the device instructions and start with a comfortable setting. Apply pads to clean, intact skin and check the skin afterward. Keep electrodes away from the eyes, front of the neck, broken skin, and areas with reduced sensation unless a clinician has specifically advised otherwise. Do not use it while driving, bathing, sleeping, or operating machinery. Seek advice before use if you have an implanted electrical device, a seizure disorder, pregnancy-related concerns, or uncertain skin sensation.

Stop using the unit and seek advice for a burn, blistering, persistent redness, marked irritation, dizziness, or a new change in pain. Obtain urgent care for sudden weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or pain following a significant injury.
