What should you know about Mederma stretch marks?

Stretch marks, also called striae, form when the skin’s supporting tissue stretches and changes. They may begin as pink, red, purple, or darker lines and often become lighter or less noticeable with time. Their appearance varies with skin tone, age, body area, hormones, pregnancy, growth, and changes in body size.

A cream can improve surface softness and reduce dryness, making the area feel more comfortable. It does not rebuild every altered fibre in the deeper skin. That is why product photographs or descriptions should be treated as examples rather than a promise about your result.

Apply the product only to intact skin and follow its label directions. Massage gently rather than rubbing until the area is sore, and stop if you develop burning, swelling, or a rash. Moisturiser and sun protection can make colour differences less conspicuous while the marks mature.

Suitability depends on the mark’s age, shade, location, skin tone, pregnancy status, and tendency to form raised scars.

Also arrange review for a rapidly changing skin area, severe itch, pain, or signs of infection rather than assuming it is an ordinary stretch mark.
